Ruby Gem Installer

Set up a Ruby application with these steps:

  1. Request that your hosting provider install Ruby through these EasyApache 4 packages:
    • The ea-apache24-mod_env module.
    • The ea-ruby24-ruby-devel module.
  2. Build the Ruby application on the server. How to Create Ruby Web Applications contains an example.
  3. Register the application in Application Manager (cPanel » Home » Software » Application Manager).

Installed Ruby Gems

Every Ruby Gem present on your server appears in the Installed Ruby Gem(s) table.

The table gives these details for each gem:

  • Module Name — name of the gem.
  • Version — its version number.
  • Actions — what you can do with the gem:
    • Update — bring the gem to its latest version.
    • Reinstall — install the gem again.
    • Uninstall — delete the gem from the server.
    • Show Docs — open the gem's documentation.
