Overview

When something goes wrong while a visitor opens your site, an error page explains it. Every problem has a status code (for example, 404) and a matching page.

The web server supplies simple default pages, and the Error Pages interface lets you replace them for any HTTP status code.

Edit an error page

To customize an error page:

  1. If the account manages several domains, pick the domain from the Managing: menu.
  2. Click the status code whose page you want to change.
    • If the code is not shown, open the Show All HTTP Error Status Codes tab and click the code there.
  3. Type your message in the text box.
    • To include details about the visitor, click the buttons for the information you want to show.
    • You can also add HTML code for further customization.
  4. Click Save.
